Darwin's theory of evolution is that only the fittest survive. Many types of life create new life and slight variations of existing life.

Similar evolution occurs in parachute systems. Slight, seemingly innocuous, variations are created and then either survive or die out.

These are the stories of the extinct parachute and parachute sub-system species.
